Equality Eternally
It's not about the "he and she",
You see, we've come to believe,
Deceive ourselves the true reality.
And how naive are we, to conceive
A way to thieve the dreams of another,
Like a mother who's child leaves this world too soon,
And she screams to the moon, wild and broken,
But what words can be spoken?
Is this our fate? Is this humanity?
A country free, but still intent on slavery,
Based on who we are?
Have we strayed so far, to gaze in someone's eyes,
And never see what's deep inside,
But rather see the lies of skin and race?
We must face ourselves, and deep within.
We, the People, as a nation,
Must see marriage not through lens of procreation,
But on the grounds of Dedication,
Commitment, and Respect,
And all encompassing - Love.
For love knows no bounds.
Like a bird whose song sounds
From every tree, and no one stops to ask,
"Perhaps this tree sounds sweeter than the other tree,"
But rather stops to listen to the symphony -
So too love should be.
So join me, please, and say with me:

And God Wept
Too often do we confuse the truths and morals,
Because Truths are self evident,
And Morals only a twisted lens to see them.
Too often do we mistake rights and wrongs
Because, as it seems, Rights too are ephemeral
And Wrongs are when we allow them to die.
Because when there's a natural disaster,
Man looks at God and screams.
But when Amendment One passed,
God looked at Man and wept.

Who Am I?
Who am I, you ask?
What's beneath this mask,
Inside this flask of flesh and bone?
My entirety, eternally, summed up and written down?
My identity and individuality in but a noun?
Well, how about my name?
Because I'm not the same as the rest of the human population.
No soul in this nation or world describe me
Fairly or truly, or even come close to it.
No painter, or poet, or actor could ever show it.
I'm not recyclable or definable.
I am incomprehensible and indispensable,
A picture worth more than a thousand words.
So let me be heard:
Next time you ask for a description,
Just know you're getting this poem,
Complete with my subscription.

Sealed Up
I'm trying to break through a wall,
A barrier of bricks that block the way.
I push, and I pound, and I punch the wall...
In anger?  Or is it despair?
Why do I care so much at all?
Is it worth the pain?
What in the world can I gain
That will ease my troubled mind,
The squeeze on my aching heart?
These questions keep racing in my head,
And I'm chasing them, trying to face them.
But I'm always two steps behind -
Behind barriers of stone and bars of steel,
And sealed up in this prison called the mind.

Fear and Forbearance
I live on the edge of my mind,
Off the ledge like I'm blind,
Feeling nothing, but one thing:
The rush of blood and time,
The thud and chime of an apprehensive heart,
Ever beating, never ending.
Amidst the mist of my mind
Lies the tangled dread
And mangled shred of a dream,
Frozen by fear and forbearance
Of the future I've fought to forestall.
But time keeps on ticking,
And the world keeps on twirling
And swirling, slowly unfurling
The meaning of words as fleeting as birds,
Forever lost in the linearity of life.

Traveler's Pit Stop
I stand in the valley of Mt. Has and Mt. Did,
Eyeing their slopes, on which nothing is hid.
I pause. And I think. And I contemplate thrice
The meaning of mountains made of rock and of ice.
But I look down the road and I see the sun rise:
Yes, in the distance lies the sun and the prize.
So while the path's full of curves, and the route's all uphill,
And although I may swerve, I'll follow it still.

Jacob's Poem
Like a broken winged angel
Your smile is filled with joy and fear
Because in your smile I see myself
I see the boy I used to be
The father I want to be
I see the most beautiful growing up to look like me
When you smile the world seems to slow
When I see you I see you grow
Now you sit in my arms
In a bundle of towels
Tomorrow you will leave me and I will sit and wonder
What can I provide you with?
What kind of man will you be?
Don't make the same mistakes as me
Son you are going to grow up young
I wish I could sit back and watch you
When I am gone remember me
I will follow forever
Like a silent symphony playing in the darkness.

The Ocean
The sun beat down on my shoulders as I walked slowly towards the Mediterranean coastline. My bare feet sunk into the smooth warm sand with every step. Vendors called out, selling sodas and postcards. I stepped out closer to the shore, and spotted my lover and our friends. I joined them, holding two cold glass Cokes. Together we sat, laughed and shared our drinks, the sun's warmth engulfing our bodies.
I rose up. I walked to the shore, my lover following closely behind. My bare feet balanced carefully on the smooth rocks that covered the shore. I looked out to the sea, the water as clear-blue as could be.
I stepped into the shallow sea, my feet sinking into the soft brown clay. Looking down into the rocks, I found one that seemed to be marked. And it was. I picked it up. There, in Sharpie, someone had written something. There were four surfaces: Each one with writing in English, Hebrew, Arabic, and

QuantumLogic Project

Introducing my first project series. QuantumLogic is based off of terms and concepts from the very confusing and essentially philosophical science known as quantum mechanics. Using these known, scientific words, I aim to show a bit of my own philosophy... I hope you'll follow me in my very first continuous project, and hopefully it inspires you to combine even the most obscure concepts when you make your own art. You never know, it might just be a hit!

These are the latest pieces in the project. Let me know what you think!

Hey everyone!  So far this has been a summer full of art, that's for sure.  I came back from France about a week ago, and I have to say it was one of the coolest trips ever.  I saw a lot of art, both in museums and in the street.

I'm going to Orlando Anime Festival at the beginning of August.  This will be my second anime convention.  In order to prepare, I'm taking a small break from stenciling to make all the necessary items I'll need (and using all the arts and crafts stuff in the house).

So far this summer, I've made:

:bulletred:Two stencils for the QuantumLogic Project
:bulletred:A kitsune mask (based off of using DreamingZenko's tutorinal) for the anime convention (and decoration)
:bulletred:An acrylic painting on a canvas
:buleltred:A wooden plaque with my Complentary stencil burned into it

Moreover, on my list is still:

:bulletgreen:Happi coat sewn (white and red) for the anime convention
:bulletgreen:Make the two other stencils I've got planned out in my head

That's about all for now.  Enjoy the sun!

I love Street Art, particularly Spray Paint! I began stenciling a few years ago, both making my own and adding others' to my library of stencils and photos. I particularly love stenciling, but I'm interested in wheatpasting and freehand as well. But I just do it for fun, so it's all good!
