Right now it's a very enjoyable mech stomp but sometimes I think that leading a squad of (AI)infantry through the terrain or driving a tank would be sooo cool.
But then: It's MechWarrior Online, not GroundPounders Online
Another thing that really bugged me...PGI had this Space-sim in development (on ice by now, afaik)...why not tying that in to MWO...hmmmmm...so many options...think eve-online translated to Battletech...
Maaaaaybe they're able to tie that into community warfare (which was, when I tested with some friends, a thing of "too many battles, too little players to launch one of them").
Having infantry "along for the ride" would be awesome. Mechs walk to a capture point, an APC crests the hill and closes in, the infantry takes up shop in the structure and ta-daa: Point taken!
That'd be much more visual than a bar slowly creeping from side to side...
