Bits of Blood, Part 1
Stars? Keith asked himself as he looked blearily out the window of whatever vehicle he was riding in. No, too regular, he realized, struggling to sit up, buildings. Keith struggled for a moment, trying to make sense of his awkward position.  His hands were bound behind his back, he guessed with some kind of heavy rope.  The car he was riding in was passing an industrial park on the highway that was lit by regularly-placed glowing orbs of halogen, buzzing in the night. Both arms were sore, so was his neck.  An egg-sized lump on the back of his head indicated that he had probably been knocked out and put here, but by who?  And why?  He groane

Nine to Five
Nine to Five. By Chris Martello. At five AM, your alarm clock goes off, stirring your seemingly lifeless form into motion with the sounds of overplayed one-hit wonders from decades past.  You stumble out of bed and fumble for the snooze button, which is conveniently larger than every other button on the radio.  You fall back into bed for that nine minute reprieve of semi-consciousness where your thoughts and dreams merge and twist about like slumbering lovers. Even the proverbial early bird would sneer at the thought of getting up this early. Those nine minutes pass, like all things do, and after some groaning and stumbling, you find your

Well, this probably isn't good.  I've only been in class about two weeks now and feel burnt out already.  I do my homework while at work (after all, what else am I gonna do there) and haven't been doing much of anything while I'm at home.  I haven't written for my blog (or anything else) in a few days, and I'm noticing the deviations piling up.  Meh. Then again, I either have work or class for seven days a week with no sign of relief until Deceber. Some exams on Friday.  Really not looking forward to the Physics one...
Introducing...
A good friend of mine has just created an account here on dA, and I wanted to extend a welcome to him and point my audience of two to check out his page.  He's a writer, and has already put up three short poems.  So, please take a minute and give a nice friendly welcome to Aeroil Taelroca. In other news, it seems that the compliments that I've gotten (wholly off-site) in regards to my first deviation have been overwhelmingly positive, to the point where I'm being told I should look into writing for money.  Funny thing is though, I suddenly have a case of writer's block.  I haven't posted anything significant in my blog for a couple days, nor
Submission
As I'm sure you've noticed, I've finally published something here.  Most of my writing work goes to Geekspeak (my blog) but this, I felt, was too personal to publish there. It's a short (about 2000 words) bit of writing that I did just now.  It is mostly uneditied at this time, and may well stay that way. Here's hoping it doesn't suck too badly!
