This is really cute.

Did you know Bugs Bunny has a cousin named Honey here: looneycomics.blogspot.com/2012…

And she is not the same as his old girlfriend.

I've known that. Until a few years later Honey later became Bug's main squeeze for a short while.

This is really cute. I like the idea of Honey being Bugs' cousin. It's a nice way for her to settle in. I prefer Lola in The Looney Tunes Show as Bugs's romantic interest since she drives him insane. xD

The art itself is pleasing to the eye. Keep it up.

Cool! I have a trading card from 1990 with her and Bugs on it. My dad thought it was Lola, but I had to explain that Lola was made in 1996.

Read Honey's biography and you'll learn that she was planned to be put in Space Jam. However, they decided to update her to Lola Bunny...

Nope, Daisy Lou and Honey Bunny are different characters. Daisy Lou Bunny appeared circa 24 years before Honey did. The fact that promotional version of Honey Bunny looked much like Bugs' twin sister (in comic stories there still appeared yellow versiion of her) was probably a result of that someone at Warner Bros. wanted to copy Disney's ideas, that is, making furry character's girlfriend looking much like him.

This results in that many fans like Honey Bunny but, at the same time, many others hate her just for being visually close to Bugs (and most of the latter group didn't ever read any comic story with Honey Bunny, they just saw few images with her from 1980's or 1990's...).

Now, an interesting thing about Daisy Lou - she had been updated in late 1990's. They added her long brown hair to make her easily distinguishable from Honey Bunny who looked like her twin sister at the time. In this version Daisy Lou appeared in the book titled 'Looney Tunes: Ultimate Visual Guide'. She appeared in an image that has later been released as a poster as well, among other Looney Tunes characters. There was no Honey Bunny in this picture as she'd already been updated to Lola. Daisy Lou also made a cameo appearance in comic story titled 'Who killed Bugs Bunny?' few years ago.

Returning to your work, it's adorable :D I didn't ever expect to see such a nice modern version of Honey Bunny-cousin. May I post it on Honey's unofficial website?

Sure. Just as long as you link back to where it came from. Did you create the Honey Bunny site?

Also. Which would you prefer Honey,Daisy Lou or Lola to be Bug's "honey" of a bunny, or would you rather have either Honey or Daisy to be Bug's cousin instead of a girlfriend? Cause Lots of fans like him and Lola together.

Yes, I created this website :) Thanks for replying, I'll put your work on the website, along with a link to where it came from.

Since I came across comic stories featuring Honey Bunny I became a fan of her. She's my favourite female Looney Tunes character, even though she never appeared in animation. I started collecting comic stories (I have almost all stories with her from comic books, apart from two or three that are hardly available as nobody shared scans of them), pictures of collectibles, information from books, etc. - anything related to Honey Bunny, and some day I decided to collect and sum up everything I have and write a biography of her.

Some interesting information I've found at Yahoo! Groups, especially two groups: [link] and [link] Though new messages appear rarely, those two groups are still active.

During my searching Yahoo! Groups I came across some early pictures depicting Honey and Lola fighting like the worst of the worst enemies. I think their authors don't even want to know that, technically speaking, Honey and Lola are two versions of the same character :P so they lead discussions like 'Lola or Honey is the best of the best and the other is a piece of sh*t'...

Personally, I prefer Honey Bunny to be Bugs Bunny's sweetheart. But I accept Lola Bunny as well, especially since I know that she's just a redesigned Honey Bunny from comics.

By the way, there's another website dedicated to Honey: [link] however, it is abandoned for over nine years... :(

For me she's the most annoying character in TLTS...
In my opinion, the whole Looney Tunes has been destroyed in this series. They look like clones of Happy Tree Friends :|

Not really.
They're different, but it's kind of a good cartoon.
Besides, Lola from "Space Jam" seems to be a magnet for "furverts" and the other naughty like.

Interesting scenarios...given the latest "Looney Tunes Show", I like the idea of her being introduced as his cousin. Related, but distant enough to drive Lola crazy with envy. :frustrated:

Girlfriend, cousin, sister, neighbor, waitress, air hostess, no matter, I would take every role just to appear in a movie along with Bugs... :)

I know Lola was supposedly based off Honey Bunny but I still like to think of them as two separate characters.
