If this was true, then why my art improving even though I rarely draw anything at all. There's times when I haven't been drawn in a month or a year, but I still can visually draw in my mind without having to draw physically anything.
It's kind of like image training like in Dragon Ball Z.

You have a good point there, but you need to  always keep up your creativity. Even if not at your computer,here's hoping you have a grand stock of paper/sketchbooks. That way they won't escape from your mind and be lost in the cosmos. It's sort of a way of applying yourself.

But I don't like drawing in public, and also I don't want to go past security with a sketch book when I'm trying to catch the bus.

You're going to have/need to come out of that "shell" of yours one day.

I have my shells. Just got to come out of it a bit at a time.

Really helps the artistic skills when needed daily practice.

It is easy for me to draw and doodle everyday. I find it really fun.
