Now that that's out of the way, on with the story! *** "Don't let them get away!" The deep voice echoed throughout the ship as Cassie Harrison and her bounty hunter companion Marion the hamster made their getaway down the hallway. In their seemingly never-ending quest to locate Cassie's missing father, the two of them had followed a lead from an anonymous source that led them to the far reaches of the universe. However, the only thing they did find was a group of back-alley geneticists. The pair had snuck aboard their ship in the hope of locating her father, or at least finding some potentially useful information, only to instead discover a plot to create the universe's most perfect being by using DNA harvested from other species. It was an unusually slow day at the Hinobi Store. Not so much in terms of usual customer turnout – in fact, they were actually busier than usual. However, there had been absolutely no glitch signals or alerts all day, leaving the Glitch Tech department with very little to do, with most of the staff doing regular work in the actual store (which, of course, was a front to hide their secret glitch-stopping headquarters). To give one such example, Hector Nieves, better known as "High Five", had spent most of the day in the back keeping inventory for the store. After about two and a half hours of meticulously stocking and recording box after box of game systems, controllers, games, etc., he was finally granted respite by the arrival of his lunch break. Five made his way to the break room, where he collapsed onto the first chair he saw, sighing in relief.
