Not that anyone cares how I do things, but if you do want to make cool lighting effects in camera. Close the aperture and open your shutter for a few seconds while simultaneously zooming in or out. All I did with this was take a picture of a Christmas tree while zooming in with the shutter opened.

Then I added Karen and the bike in later.
