Description:
Agate is a large Aerodactyl, looming over many of his friends. His colors are faded and washed out. He has a scary face that often terrifies children. Healed scars dot his flank here and there, but one in particular strikes the eye. A huge, dark-purple scar patterns across his chest, shoulder, and back. It is the mark of a particularly bad witch's curse, which is slowly killing Agate. It is slowed by the special sash he wears, made by a good friend way back when.

Personality:
Agate is a serious fellow, and not very social. He harbors distrust for any new face, and never lets his guard down. As a result, he is quick to judge and accuse others. But he wasn't always like this. Know him well enough, and you may discover the loyal, courageous, and honorable pokemon he used to be. The flipside to his real friendship is you will obtain a new, overprotective guardian who probably won't let you do anything rash or reckless.

History:
Agate used to be an explorer and treasure appraiser. He traveled with a group of fellow explorers in search of treasure and adventure, having a jolly, chaotic time. Upon stumbling a particularly magical artifact, the group excitedly went around showing their new discovery, hoping to inspire more explorers. This only attracted the attention of a powerful witch, who attacked the group for the artifact.

Only Agate managed to survive the encounter, but with a deadly curse as a result. A childhood friend of his fashioned a magic sash to slow the progress of the curse greatly, so he still had many years to live. But why? His friends were mostly dead, and he himself was dying. Disillusioned, Agate set about roaming the country aimlessly, getting into fights and drinking away his sorrows.

This continued for a long time, until the same friend who prolonged his life desperately called for a favor. Feeling indebted, Agate obliged.

Agate has taken August to Tabira, hoping that gaining favors and reputation with the guilds will help protect the two.

Move Tool: Glistening Honchkrow Feather
A sparkly feather gifted by August's Honchkrow mother, along with the hat. When in dire circumstances, it reacts to August's desperation and releases a powerful Heat Wave. Whether this is her mother's magic or her own, that much isn't certain.

Description:
August is a small Archen with more energy than she really needs. Her feathers are a vibrant red, while the blue seems to be dimmer. She is always wearing a Honchkrow hat with a bright red feather. Her eyes are the same red as the feather.

August may be a mystic or a witch. It isn't certain yet. The Heat Wave she sometimes casts may be her own magic, or it could be residue from her mother's magic.

Personality:
August is a peppy, energetic child. Always full of energy, she loves to see the good in everything, making her very optimistic. It's hard to get her down, but when she is sad, its like the world is being sapped of all its good. Its been noted by many that her bright smile makes them want to protect her. August is quite naive and doesn't know much, but she is brighter than many take her for, and learns quickly. Her mantra in life is to be very nice to everyone. She enjoys the Keepers' and the Artisans' goals.

Taught by her father and Agate that the witches are bad pokemon, August views them as villains in her childish, black-and-white outlook. She has no knowledge of the fact that her mother is a witch and that she may be too.

She named the team.

History:
August doesn't remember much of her mother, for when she was young, her mother left to study witchcraft. Luckily, the memories she has retained are very fond. August hasn't been told of her mother's witch status, and still thinks of her well.

About 6 years after her mother's departure, August was taken away by Agate at the request of August's father. Told it was an adventure, a fun rite of passage that she must partake in, August gladly went along with "Grampy Aga" (she already knew Agate at that point).

After learning about the Keepers' goals, August has happily made joining the Keepers as her goal.
