Regarding :devaigippus:, should I allow people to freely sell adoptables of them for money/points, or should I leave that only to a certain group of people I trust? (Note: Everyone is allowed to make them for free, just not to sell as of now)

Yea, let people make and sell adoptables of them as they wish (given that they meet the species requirements and are not rip-offs of other designs)

No, leave it to a restricted group of people (currently those people are me, Griwi, draqiin, Ymia-the-cheetah and SheepMaker)

I mean, I don't see why it would really be an issue?  People already make adopts of real life species, which you can freely make characters for anyway, so I don't see how it'd be much different for an open species.  If people were abusing the privilege, you could always add in restrictions or make it no longer allowed.

While that's true, I do have the issue in here that I'd like to look over them all before giving the okay :P With adopts of real life species, they can be as unrealistic as people want, but with these I'd prefer to keep that restricted to what would be realistic for the species if it was real! So it would not be 100% the same as an open real species to begin with.
People seem to prefer not to go fully open though.

That's true, and it is your species.  You have the right to do whatever you think makes most sense. :)

I'd recommend leaving it to a few people to make adoptables, and maybe have guest adoptable makers if keen? just stops some people trying to exploit open adopts to make money

That makes sense! I might do that, though I don't think people would really try to exploit them ^^

Ahhh, it's always sad when that happens D: I don't think this species would be popular enough for people to profit off, luckily!

I'd say you could keep them restricted to a few people, but others could make them as well if they ask you first?

Perhaps! They would have to show me for approval first either way, but I'll see if I make that a possibility ^^

only if you set a certain amount of money/points they are allowed to make off of them

That's a good point! I'm not sure where to put the limit, but I usually never manage to sell adoptables for more than 500:points:/$5 if that, so the limit wouldn't be too high :XD:
Though the people that do have my permission to make adoptables are allowed to decide their own prices, I don't expect them to try and sell them for  alot though given that the species is free to make :P
