I'm curious: Do you personally wait with sex until marriage? (I hope this isn't too much of a sensitive topic, but either way, you don't have to tell anyone what you voted)

I intend to wait until marriage.

I intend to wait, but not until marriage. Just until I find someone I REALLY want to spend my life with.

Nah, I won't wait. If I feel ready for sex and the other person does too, we will just do it.

Whoops, too late. :B No regrets.

I didn't wait, but I wish I had / was forced into it / etc.

Call me traditional, but I think it's safer for peeps to wait until marriage due to so many STD/STIs but hey if someone wants to do it before I have no problems I just hope they're for sure because I don't want them to feel regrets.

How does marriage prevent STD's?

that's not what I meant. What I meant is rather wait until marriage to reduce the risk of them. The future partner may have them and well, oh shit oh well. But it'd be nice to at least be clean for a partner so they wouldn't worry ig. Theres just too much shit now a days it's healthier to wait because even if the partner has one at least it reduced the amount you could've gotten.

But why wait until marriage rather than "just have sex with one partner"? Marriage is no guarantee you'll never have sex with anyone else. And that way you'll never know if you're sexually compatible before you marry. If you want to avoid STD's simply having safe sex will work 90% better than waiting until marriage.

I think it's kind of useless to wait until you get married to have sex because it's really important in learning about each other and being happy together. Though I don't support the idea of going around and having thoughtless sex with people with no care for disease/pregnancy, like the a lot of people in my school seem to do hahah...
It's all up to trust and love, really.

I think it's good to have sex before you get married. I mean people can do whatever they want, pretending Jazz didn't exist I would never have sex with someone I didn't completely trust, but I wouldn't be worried about weather or not I'd spend my whole life with them. I would just need to know there was mutual trust and love regardless. And if you get married to someone before you have sex and it ends up being horrible, or you might not even be sexually attracted to their gender. Hell who knows. I think it could end super badly, it's better to know what you're getting into before you get into it. Especially for people who are against divorce.

that's probably super scattered and hard to understand. oh well.

Yea, especially with so many relationships starting on the internet these days, I think it's a requirement to just, well, see what it really is like. As you said, with the gender thing. Online, it doesn't matter at all what sex your partner really has because gender is all there is. But real life is different, real bodies have flaws, and you might be confronted confronted with something that makes you severely uncomfortable in a sexual situation. Before you decide to settle on a person, I think it's best to rule out those scenarios as much as possible.

Well marriage is really supposed to be more of a bonding, if you are already bonded, really you are married. A paper doesn't judge whether you are a boy or girl, you do (your gender) the paper (marriage papers) is only a document nothing more than proof to the government that you are married and share assets. So really I feel like sex before "legal marriage" is ok because if you are with who your "forever person" is than you are already married and can and should have sex really. It is hard concept to explain but I mean. I am married in a sense that it is more of a heart matter more than a legal matter. Like does that make sense?
