Generally, in an artwork, you feel you are better at drawing... (if you don't draw, just pick whatever you think is easier to draw for you)

As much as I'd love to say landscapes or backgrounds, it's moreso characters for me. I'm working on improving both~

I wish I could say backgrounds too, but alas :XD:

Haha maybe it's due to us not wanting to put too much time and detail into the background so that the detail becomes insignificant or takes the audience's main focus from the character/s~

Hm, I wish I could say that was a legit excuse for me, but... I just really don't know how to do the background, usually. It's not done purposefully :XD:

I really am good at characters, but also not bad at drawing backgrounds ! (fav.me/daf61hd for example)
but I do more the detail when I draw my characters, most of the time my bgs are simple or landscapes drew with my watercolor pen. :"3

Haha yeah :D With digital paintings that's defiantly true!  Backgrounds still take a whole lot of work to make look right though :faint:
oh my!

Definitely characters. :XD: I want to improve on backgrounds/environments though cause I do enjoy drawing those.

Definitely better at drawing characters, I attempt backgrounds occasionally, but I just give up on them a lot. =3=

I'm much better at backgrounds.

I usually do them first with the intention of inserting the characters/objects later, and I've been known to get bored and just leave them as landscapes or other scenery X'3
