Does anyone know what would be a good website to make a database of art of a character, or to make a simple character database? It would mostly be just for myself to overview.

I find Sta.sh very annoying to use for this purpose as it keeps jumping back, and Toyhou.se has limits on image sizes that get in the way. I was wondering what other options there are?

(EDIT: It's nice of you to offer me Toyhou.se invite codes but I already have a Toyhou.se account, so there really is no need to!)

I would suggest Charahub for the info side of things! However unfortunately they can only store 10pics of each character. Perhaps you could create your own personal PBWorks account for it? Not quite sure if it's what you're looking for though...

This is a really old PBWorks site my friends and I used to use but it hasn't been touched in years; really I'm just using it as an example of what you can do on it: mywarriorcatworld.pbworks.com/…

Otherwise I also have this new one beginning c:

Yeah no worries! It's quite easy to use and you can make it accessible to anyone, or otherwise accessible to only people you have invited. Much like a secret group on facebook vuv
Very useful site, I feel~

Mmmm, charahub is a really good website for that kinda thing, though they also have size limitations.

You could also use Tumblr, you can create any kind if blog with any kind of layout (if ya know css :D)

I'm afraid Charahub is not what I'm looking for to store art, and Tumblr even less so!

Toyhouse has image size limitations? If I remember right the last time I checked you could click on the picture again to show it in full size, no?

Yes, but the image you upload cannot exceed a certain size is what I mean D:

I tested it again on my laptop. If you right click on the image and click show image, it will show in full size. I've uploaded quite many big images and didn't have any error messages, hm.
Maybe make an imgur account, create an album for each character, upload the images and then move them to the album. They take large enough files I suppose, here's what it says about file size:

"The maximum file size for non-animated images is 20MB. The maximum file size for GIFs is 200MB.

Non-animated images over 1MB for anonymous uploads and 5MB for account holders will be lossily compressed. All non-animated images receive lossless compression that reduces filesize while maintaining quality.

Large GIFs will be converted to GIFV, which shrinks file size while maintaining high quality.

TL;DR: You can upload really large images on Imgur."

Mine are just too big it seems, and there are so many so resizing them all would be an awful task :saddummy:

That sounds nice though, I might try that!

Don't you need a Dropbox account to access Dropbox files?

i pretty much just rely on my own computers, and maybe dropbox...

if i were to put my characters on a database, it'd be a custom-built one...
(luckily, all i need is a web host, i know enough html/js/css for my purposes)

pretty much because of all the restrictions/limitations built-into EVERYTHING else...

I'd never recommend this for a character database, in fact, I just don't recommend it, PERIOD, but...
wikifoundry
They're kinda really buggy, and comments/PM's/image descriptions have some awful character limits.
I have a wiki there (created when the site still was functional) , and I am a moderator on another.
despite its flaws, there are ways to enhance it.
You can restrict edit permissions, effectively turning it into a private website.
No promises, but I CAN help you get just a little bit more out of the platform.
Just a thought. Again, the system is crappy. But, it's also free, and due to some of its features and even, vulnerabilities, you can easily make it a little bit more.

Another site you could try is pbworks
IDK how much they've changed since I created my account there, it's been a while.
It's also free (unless that has changed) , and VERY easy to customize nearly every element of your site! (which my friend who showed me it has been playing with)

Good luck finding a solution!
