Do you generally like it when a character design has a theme? For example food, holidays, seasons, nature elements, gothic, steampunk etc. Does not count characters that look a certain way because of their profession etc (military for example).
Yes, I like those more than non-themed characters.
Yes, but I generally like them just as much as non-themed ones.
It really depends for me I guess... xD I'm really sick of seeing food-themed characters, but at the same time i LOVE designing them myself. I just do them as adotables though bc I wouldn't like to have a character like that.. So I guess.. I have fun drawing them but I wouldnt want one xD Same goes for most other themes.. except for element-themed ones! I really like those, because I kinda find them reallly pretty /artistic and stuff o v o
It really does depend on the theme, Food themed is hella overused (I'M SORRY KYAH I STILL LOVE YOU) and holidays/seasons we only seem to have in that holiday/season then once that holiday/season is over we just go "eh too spoopy for christmas" and throw them away, forget about them until next year, or redesign them. Nature elements are okay by me I guess? It also depends on the look and that you're not just going "yer a leaf leaf" and giving green eyes and an orange coat? Like I've literally seen someone just make a orange cat with green eyes and one brown paw and saying it was a leaf based cat. Gothic and steampunk I guess I don't really mind? Cause it's more so like a real life fashion thing (I feel like I've offended so many in that one sentence) so it's going to be used quite a bit and I'd hope ya know it changes from character to character but idk man.
