Do all brands of bottled water taste the same to you? (Of course, the difference between still and sparkling water doesn't count, I'm talking about differences between water of the same type but different brands)

best bottled water is Ozarka or ice mountain. The water from these come from a spring of some sort and is not purified/processed with chemicals which means it doesn't taste metallic when warm.

As a person, who have jumped around different places and countries (Japan, Madeira, Ireland, Hungary, Italy...few to mention) I sure have came across different kinds of bottled water aaand tab water :XD:

And I do find them different, even if the taste difference might be so faint!
Although I must say two or three Finnish water brands nearly taste the same... Then again, this is my home country and therefore I naturally have tried more brands of water over here :"3

They all taste the same if they're cold, but if they get luke-warm or something like that they taste different.
Most brands taste the same to me but here's why I say different brands taste different:
Dasani always tastes like plastic to me. IDK what it is, maybe it's the weird tinted bottle, but it tastes like plastic.
Same with some generic store brands, but instead of plastic they taste like they're too much of a certain mineral.

But everything else tastes the same??

Idk (I only stick to a few brands), but I know for sure that unfiltered tap and hotel water are the worst

Especially hotel water

There are many that I think that taste the same... But there's like one brand that I refuse to drink from the plastic bottles, because it tastes like molten plastic to me o.o they're okay in glass, but not plastic bottle! (my friend drinks it without any problem and declares me crazy xD)

Maybe it's my imagination... but there's just...
the most subtle difference and it bothers me so much

so I stick with one type of bottled water

Do you have any favourite type of bottled water Bienie?

I think all water tastes different. I think I do like the taste of bottled water over the water at my home. The water I have to drink all the time tastes... dry or like stale? if that makes sense? Some days it tastes a bit better than other days but usually it's just eh. It does taste better when it's cold which I think that is probably true for all types of water, at least clean drinkable water.

all water tastes the same, it's just the temperature or amount of debris/minerals in it that makes it "taste" different

Of course, but yea, you won't often be able to actually taste water without it so :XD:

I wasn't talking about the temperature at all though? I was referring to the mineral part if your comment, those DO affect the taste and as I said, you won't often drink water without it!

OH
Oops I'm so sorry! I actually kind of forgot I mentioned minerals XD
When I think of taste, I think of flavors, and water doesn't really have a flavor no matter what's in it (besides like flavoring powder) so that's what I mean when I say water tastes the same no matter what, because really it's all the same "flavor", just slightly different, like saltier or w/e

My family is convinced that I'm lying but bottled water all tastes different. Guess it depends on the quality of the water, plastic, how long its been bottled and I can't believe that I tried to think of reasons why bottled water tastes different depending on the make.

Eh, I used to get some years ago when I was in the middle of somewhere that didn't have access to water fountains. Some do taste different, like Dasini/Aquafina which had a weird, *bad* taste to it.

Yeah, it's quite interesting. I haven't tried any "expensive brands" so I can't really vouch for those, but at the end of the day it's mostly the same stuff (unless it's treated in a different way)

I only drink bottled water out of glass bottles because for me water out of plastic bottles doesn't taste that good
and yes, it tastes different.
I really love the water from the Harz Mountains (we live close to them) because it's really delicious. As well as our tap water is. It tastes kinda sweet. Maybe that's because our water is really "soft". :U
