I currently don't use public transport, however in a few months I'll be moving to a bigger town to transfer to a bigger college and will probably start. ^_^ I'm not use to driving around in big cities (I get extremely nervous) and it's free to use the college bus to travel around town, so I'll probably be using it a lot.
$10k entry fee for a working one, plus shittons in maintenance because it's an old Citroen with a Maserati engine (old French + old Italian = UNRELIABLE AS FUCK)
I'm planning on ripping much of the guts out and replacing it with more modern (and easier to service) parts. Keeping the old stuff of course, in case some restorer REALLY wants them back in the unfathomable event I sell it.
It's been many years since that was much of an option for me, though I used to use a subway system with some regularity. Where I live, and where I work, it's not only a whole lot easier to drive, it would involve driving to a park and ride lot just to get the first bus if I wanted to try and use public transpiration.
I don't think I have ever used public transportation? I went to a farmers market kind of thing a couple of times and they would have a tractor that would pull this cart with a bunch of cushioned seats that would take you from the parking area to the entrance if that counts. I also have been on an escalator a few times. I also went on the train "ride" that would take you from one side of an amusement park to the other side. Otherwise I live out in the country so i've never really had the chance to use any public transportation.
I live in a pretty rural area, so there really isn't any public transport near where I live. Here you have to have a vehicle to get anywhere or you have to walk.... and trust me... you do not want to walk. The weather here is so unpredictable that it could be sunny and warm one minute and hailing and raining 10 minutes later...
Ha! I've always lived out in the country and I'm in Canada, so there are no such things around me at all. For the half a year I lived in Vancouver I would use it almost daily, and when I visited Europe I used it daily, but outside of those couple of months I've never used it at all.
i live in the california bay area so the public transport can get you literally anywhere you need to go! i take the bus to and from school every day and on weekends i take the train to san francisco, in which the muni runs to any district in the city (not that you cant just walk, the city is pretty small !!) i really dont see the need to have a car in the bay area so i dont plan to learn how to drive until i leave the area if im being honest
I used to take the school bus for school, but now that I'm in college I drive myself. Otherwise, I live a few hours from New York City so I've taken a train a few times before with people. But that's about it
