As long as they let me know they're going to do it OR ask me if it's ok, I don't usually mind. (AND I make sure they link back to me/give me credit.)

I only follow one person who submits it as a new deviation but I also tend to watch the people they get art from too lmao so that generally makes me a little 'eh'

But in terms of icons and dA IDs I think it's fine provided there's credit to the original artist (eg, what I do for 93% of my icons bc I cant draw them for myself)

I think icons and DA ID's are totally okay as long as the artist is okay with it! It's the reuploading as a new deviation that I'm not too fond of :noes:

Nah, I don't mind. If I see art that's old and that I don't like, I'm going to want to delete it. If someone reposts art that I created for them, then I have the freedom to delete it from my gallery. If I keep it, then it's a drawing I like and I'm glad more people get to see it. I know I won't ever hear from these people but I was never going to in the first place.

It depends for me. If the person paid for it with real money and points do count as real money as that is what buys points then I am fine with it as long as credit is written. If it was a gift or anything else then I will most likely say no.

I gotta admit that here on dA it's a bit weird since there are ways to gather and show all the stuff that has been done for you, but on FA it's basically the norm due to how the site is structured. It's a way to get free advertisement and often people follow a person who commissions lots of artists either to see all of a character's art or to find new artists.

Yea, I guess it wouldn't be as weird on FA, but on DA it's just really not my thing :noes:

I think I'd have to agree with you, actually. While I technically don't mind, it bugs me quite a bit. I actually unwatched someone on here that only posts basework and art drawn for them. They credit, yes, but it's not something I really like too much. I tend to avoid favoriting if I see it's by someone other than them, or I unfavorite it if I see it after I've already done so.
It's especially annoying, though, that someone I did something for got more favorites on their post, than mine did. I hate it. I think I'm going to actually ask them to take it down...

Also, FurAffinity users tend to repost a lot, and it gets me so upset when I go to favorite, and it's not theirs. I'm just like "rip".

I tend to avoid favoriting if I see it's by someone other than them, or I unfavorite it if I see it after I've already done so. I do that exact same thing too! Even if I have to go back to the page to unfavourite it, I do it anyway because it bugs me to favourite art someone did not draw.
And yes, that is pretty annoying to me, too... :noes:

I hate it sobs, I just want to see what people draw themselves :noes:

I mean, I can see why they do it - it technically is theirs (because it was for them) even, but I dunno, I'd prefer to see art by them, not someone else's.

Everyone else I asked to take down my art has, but there's this one person on FA that won't... Because I didn't have a ToS. They didn't freakin' ASK if they could post it, either!

Depends on the circumstances, really, I suppose. Generally I don't mind as long as they credit me for the art and have a good reason to re-upload it. Though I try not to delete stuff that I make for others out of my gallery, I understand why some people want the reassurance, because I've had people draw stuff for me, then put it in storage without bothering to ask or give me permission to re-upload, when they left the site after they had a huge fight with another one of our friends, that had nothing to do with me >:L

Yea, makes sense! I save all art for me right away (save for a few really old pieces of my OC's that were drawn before I got into that habit and that were stored or deleted before I could save them) so nowadays I don't worry about that anymore, but I know the feeling!

I do allow it if asked first, if they intend to upload on another site but promise to still provide credit I will check until I see they comply with my request plus a link provided so others know they didn't steal it. If they do without crediting or asking then I'm not okay with it.

I tentatively allow it, but I do not encourage it and I have to admit I am not a big fan of the concept of my art being reuploaded by someone else, even when that person writes in the description to "FAVE THE ORIGINAL, NOT THIS ONE" I don't know, people don't often listen to that... :noes: And from what I can see, it doesn't really give the original artist a significant amount of exposure either. I tend to not watch people who only or mostly upload art that isn't their own, so...
If I can avoid my art being reposted, I will. I don't mind people putting it on their page, as their icon, or as their DA ID. It's the uploading as an actual deviation that puts me off. I never delete deviations from my gallery, so they don't need to do it because they fear losing it. But I'm not sure if I want to be strict and forbid it under any circulstances, either.

Either way, when I do allow it, full credit to me and a link back to my original upload must always be given. But I generally prefer for it not to happen, if possible. And of course, if an art piece was not made for someone or does not contain any of their OC's, they have zero rights to repost it, credit or not.
