Anyone who's willing, although they must accept I'm not by any means a good or great artist. (I probably would be better if high school didn't screw me up completely, in every way)

I'll do an art trade with anyone, if they would actually WANT to.

I've never done an art trade, I'd like to though, I am just not familiar with how they are supposed to work. :/

I do art trades with any of my friends who want to, really, but I'd probably feel bad about trading with someone of a higher skill level, because the they'd be giving me something awesome, and I'd be giving them something good, but not as good. :/

I prefer to accept art trades from people of my own skill level or higher, but for one thing, I'm too nice to say no to the people of lower skill, and for another, I'm not always exactly sure where my own skill level stands, so it's not always easy to judge by that.

While I do look for level a bit, I think my main focus is the attitude of the other other person during a trade? If they're cocky or rude I'm not going to be very willing to work with them, and if I'm speaking to someone with a polite air or good attitude I will be much more willing to do a trade regardless of level.
I feel like it also depends a little bit on who is asking almost. If someone is inviting me to a trade [and has a good attitude like I mentioned previously] I'll probably accept regardless, as I won't feel like a person of higher level is getting jipped because they asked me, or a person with equal or lower level because I think it would be a fun experience for both of us?
I don't think I would ever ask a higher level artist to do a trade because I feel like I would be giving them the short end of a stick when I should just commission them instead [if they have them open of course]. That's just me being nervous around people I admire though.

idk, part of me feels like a trade should be two people giving something on equal grounds of equal value, but I also feel like it could really mean the world to someone who puts effort into their work but is also considered to be on a lower level than you?
: s I'm not very good at getting my thoughts across

it generally depends more on my mood when the person asks me than the individual person and their skill level honestly

anyone really as long as they are not rude, or they respect what they were asked to draw (not drawing something COMPLETELY different than the request.)

ya, i have had it happen before, they tried drawing my character (who does not in any way have the "perfect" hourglass bodytype) have a kim kardashian figure, and when i asked them not too they refused too saying that she should have that figure otherwise she is not a worthy OC. i told them that that was not how it worked, and that not everyone needs that body type especially if they are only 16, and eventually they just decided to take it down to avoid a  confrontation.

Seriously? That's really bad to hear, why would a worthy OC need to have a certain body type :noes: That's just really concerning.

ya, i eventually looked at the rest of their art and found all the females they draw had that body type, and the guys all had big muscles. i just left them, and didn't post my part of the art trade, and eventually i found out that they had been removed from DA for trolling too. kinda sucks that all that happened

This is going to sound awful, but I'm really picky about art styles. If I don't like how you draw something I probably won't commission/art trade with you, especially if your anatomy isn't at least somewhat accurate and you can't tell what animal your drawing is of.

I voted for own level and above (especially as I've grown more confident about my art), but as long as the other person puts effort into their part then I'm not too bothered x3

Nnearly all levels??
I am not too picky, but if all you can do is shaky stick figures, I will likely decline a trade |D
But for the most part, I am fine with any level.

I like to do art trades with similar level or higher, but when it comes to acquaintances/very active watchers/friends it doesn't apply.
So my decision making is all over the place actually? lol

I don't like the mentality of "I only trade with mutuals"
I can get why some people say that but I just don't personally agree with it so I trade with anyone who asks, as long as I have the time.

I would accually not care, cuz if they makes art in the shape of one of my OCs I would be happy to draw one back.
And I have not done like real online art trades yet, but I would love to someday.
