Somewhere in May I hope to get a batch up with 3 common Orehunters that will be raffled off to people who never owned an Orehunter before. What way of raffling do you think is more fair? (Read my comment on this)
Lolz well I hope this turn out well I might not enter tho depending on what day its on like my b-day Lol or before that cuz if its my b-day I'm going shopping with mah mom :3 so I wouldn't be on for pretty much all day XD whic means I have to go to sleep early so I won't be tired..my mom never gets tired when we're shopping....shes like a machine that never burns out...
I already own an Orehunter but I think 2 and 3 are best options in my opinion Because the disadventage of the first one is that, that the Orehunter maybe traded really fast if the owner won't like the design. And in the 2 and 3 people are chosing by themself the designs they like so they won't be "forced" to win one they do not like.
Looking at this from that side, 2 is the best because people may be able to chose between two designs they like most not only one so even they won't won the design they loved, they can have luck and win the second one ;3
Yea, I'm leaning towards 2 as well! 3 is easier to organize, but I like how 2 provides more chances for people who like more than one design. They will also have to decide, of course, but in general I like the idea
In all of these cases, you can only win one Orehunter each. Meaning that if your name is drawn for two Orehunters, one of them will be reraffled because the point of this is to let people who cannot afford an Orehunter have a chance!
The first option would be: You can enter for all Orehunters, and you get one raffle ticket for each. Aka everyone who enters has equal chances of winning one specific Orehunter, but how many raffle tickets they have depends on how many Orehunters they enter for (1, 2 or 3). The disadvantages: People who like one design a lot yet aren't really interested in the other designs might enter for them anyway because they don't have much to lose, and end up with an Orehunter they don't really care for. That's not really what I want. The system works in the disadvantage of people who are only interested in one Orehunter as they have a lower overall chance.
The second option would be: You can enter for all Orehunters, BUT you have three raffle tickets. They would work as follows: - If you enter the raffle for one Orehunter, all three your raffle tickets go to that Orehunter. - If you enter the raffle for two Orehunters, two tickets will go to the first Orehunter you listed and one to the second (means you'll have to decide which one you want to put the extra point on). - If you enter the raffle for three Orehunters, one ticket is spent on every Orehunter. You have equal chances of winning all three, but you have a smaller chance of winning a certain Orehunter than someone who has spent all their tickets on that particular Orehunter. The disadvantages: You'll have to choose wisely and take your chances, decide if you want to put all your luck on one design or divide your raffle points between multiple designs.
The third option would be: You can only enter for one design, and you get one raffle ticket for it. Everyone has equal chances. The disadvantages: You will obviously have to choose for one and only one design.
I'm personally leaning towards 2 and 3, but what do you think? Oh and in case people ask what Orehunters are, they are a closed species by Griwi. If you want to know more about them, check out the group: Orehunters!
