I think it's fine as long as it's not overdone. Two or three letters replaced is enough for me, any more and it just looks bad. Although being a tiny bit of a perfectionist when it comes to such things, I would never do that in my own username. I'd actually like to change the one I have now someday. :T
Yep, I've slowly been trying to change my name to that on all the sites I go to. I guess it's like an artist name. The name Taka itself has a sentimental meaning to me and is what I'm known as on every site I use, but it's also a Japanese name meaning hawk. Edakumi is a last name I put to it, it means artist in Japanese. It represents what I do~
It's also a way to differentiate between me and the OC I have, who is also Taka.
I think, if it's the only way to get a username you want, it's not too bad, although I always make sure to double check what sort of character they're using in the url first... I mean, mine is technically unlversal (because space/universe reasons) but hey.
Numbers... I've never been a fan of that, so much, so eh. Guess it's okay.
I think it makes people a bit more imaginative, to have to work out ways of being able to get a certain name, etc, however I do regret my particular choice of username, now.
I don't really like numbers in usernames, but for capital letters, if it's not confusing I don't mind at all. Plus, it's the person's choice and wether you like it or not you have to respect it. It may mean something to them.
it... depends. i find usernames like 'Iarvesta' annoying because you often have to play a game of 'do you have a really good username or is it just an I' (i wonder if someone has ever thought mine is actually an i at first seeing as its a canon pkmn name)
and things like '1ARVESTA' or 'LARV3STA' are just really obnoxious honestly
id say the only usernames im ok with like that are 'SlGMA' type usernames because u can like. tell what they are i guess and also no numbers. i miigghttt just be a lil elitist though i guess idk
yeah no xD it's totally fine but im just kinda sad about it idek. like, i think everyone should be able to get a username they'd like, but still there are so many disliking them ): like, half of the people here...
The best kinds of usernames are the ones that are like wolflover472 because you can see the frustration that the original name was taken Numbers replacing letters looks kind of cheap, but other letters replacing the original letters is a clever way to get the name you wanted when its taken, but a pain when people tag them because everyone misspells it and they end up not seeing giftart and the like
