I don't know. And really, I think things would be better if some people just accepted that they don't know.

Like, it's fine to believe and everything - I was raised Christian, personally, so I get it if that's what you are - but at the end of the day you have to accept those beliefs for what they are. They're beliefs. And it's fine to believe, but believing is different than knowing. Anyone who thinks they know for absolute fact where people go when they die is probably deluding themselves.

If people knew for sure, there wouldn't be religions, and people wouldn't kill each other or have disagreements over it.

But that's just my view, anyway.

Yea, I agree. People claiming to hold the truth mean more good than bad in most cases, anyway.

The Bible says that the dead are conscious of nothing at all ( Ecclesiastes 9:5 )
Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe in Hell.

We believe in Heaven, but the Bible mentions
only a select amount of people get to go. ( Revelation 7:4 )

Jesus said in John 5:28-29
"...all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out,
those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who
practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."
So when God resurrects the dead, that's when everyone will be judged.

Fun fact. I'm a mormon so I believe that theres an afterlife, but I believe that theres different degrees of heaven. Like there's the highest degree of heaven where God is at, then there are two lesser degrees, and then theres hell. But we believe that no one really goes to hell unless they do something absolutely terrible, like deny the holy ghost

Hmm, the subject is impossibly vague no matter how you look at it, because no one can really know for sure... that also makes it so interesting.

I kinda think people go where they believe they will go after they die. i.e. Christians would go to Heaven, people who believe in reincarnation would return to this world in another lifeform, atheists would probably go nowhere. But that's just as vague a possibility as any other.

Personally, my beliefs are quite compicated and not quite comparable to any of the commonly known religions' views.
I believe that humans are just temporary homes for souls to live in for a short time before the body decays and dies, after which the soul will move to a new body. A soul will reincarnate endlessly, until it gets tired or old enough or something like that. Then it moves to Tuonela, an underworld realm of the dead in the Finnish mythology, and rests there. Usually forever, though they can revisit the human world in a spirit form, and there are rare occasional souls that have "returned from the dead" after resting their chosen time.
The reincarnation is not a punishment like it is in Hinduism, though, it just happens. Of course going to Tuonela is a relief when that time comes because the soul is so tired by that time already, but the reincarnation itself is not a sign of a bad life.

There's only a handful of people in the whole world who share my religious views. Sometimes I feel it's a shame because I can't share my spiritual experiences with likeminded folks, but usually I'm okay with it.

Mine is weird like that too but you kinda remember a bit from every person and life and every life it teaches you new lessons. Because they say stuff like god has a plan for you but what plan does god have for homeless people, etc.?  And when you decide you rest you lay in peace with God. You don't really have family because if you did you would have like a million families so ya. But I feel like the bodies you been in and lives you have experienced that one reallyyyy best friend with be with you in heaven. kind of weird.

and by homes  you mean like vessels sorry no punctuation I have no effort ok bye :P

I always thought there was a Heaven where everyone went, but separations between certain areas. I've never believed in the idea of Hell, I guess it's my own belief that if there's a God he wouldn't punish people more than they were on earth ; v ;

jumping in on this convo lol xD

but I agree with you. Some things stated in the Bible I don't really like, mostly things that seem very un-God, like Hell, or just God "punishing you for your sins"

I don't like the idea of Hell either, I mean, if someone does wrong things all their life but firmly believes what they do is right, would God punish them? I don't know who would get into Hell really.

Heaven and Hell. Naturally. XD

I look forward to heaven a lot too, not dying, but experience the colours and creatures and the things that God has set up there for us that are completely beyond our imagination and how utterly awesome and perfect its all going to be. The most exciting things for me is meeting God and new colours. Imagine a whole new spectrum that we can't even comprehend because out eyes can't see it, science doesn't understand it and we cannot manipulate it. Imagine living in timelessness and having a feeling of contentedness and joy, never having to be scared of what others think, and being loved, truly without strings :D (of course you can get that on Earth, marriage wouldn't work without it, but imagine if everything came without strings attached.)

:dummy: It just makes be feel so excited when I get to think and talk about that part of the afterlife, it makes me feel warm all over :D
