I'm spending MY time, and I'M putting effort into it, for nothing in return. It's not my obligation to do it, I'll do it if I want to. Normally, I won't offer if I'm not willing. If someone(random) asks me for a request, I will often times say no because I don't want that weighing me down, and even if I do complete it, it'll look bad.

Yeah, I usually do things in order of importance or when I get them...  If I don't do requests I feel like i'd feel guilty. Although I still have some contest prizes I have to do and I've been procrastinating so much.

I draw requests at my own pace, but I still want to make sure they get done. If I tell someone I'm going to draw something for them, I want to make sure that I'm a man of my word and follow through with what I said. It's not always easy though.

I don't always do them - I make clear to people that it's not a complete guarantee.

I have so many requests that I have to do. The only real way to be sure I'll start it is to get on my case about it :XD: I'm a bit lazy....

No, not at all. They're not giving anything in return, so I don't really have a reason to have to complete it. Besides, they're not as important as commissions/art trades.

I only do requests in special join.me's like if I get another 50 watchers, and only the people who come get some and if I end the join.me then the event is over. It's mostly first come first serve, or if I see a character I really like.

that's a difficult question...
sometimes i do request 'cause i want to improve my skills and than people can post their chara and i'll choose one.
i feel bad for the person who doesn't get a request, but i can't and don't want to draw all charas. so in this case and don't take it as serious as ats or rqs.
but if i really decide to draw a rq for someone i take it as serious as any other pic. 'cause on the one hand i really like it when i can make people happy and on the other hand if i don't take a rq serious and draw something half - hearted i am not satisfied with myself.

so you could say, if i take a rq i take it as serious as any other kind of pic c:

Whenever I request art, I know that it isn't as important as an art trade or commission. I'm fully prepared not to get a piece of art, because the artist is busy and I'm okay with them cancelling at any point in time! :D

This is why I never promise to draw requests & when I do take them it's usually "hey guys send me a bunch of characters & maybe I'll draw some"
Like as long as you give some warning that it's not a guarantee they can't really complain if you don't draw them.

Same xD If I draw for free you do not get the guarantee that I will ever even start it. And I don't feel like it's a bad thing of me to do - that way people can't take adventage of me.
