It slowly got funnier as I got older- but only after a couple levels of irony builded up around it. Things like that were never funny to me when I was around 14-17ish.
It's something you grow into moreso then grow out of. When you're young you want to appear as mature and smart as possible in front of people, especially on websites like deviantart where everyone else is young and trying to impress. Then you're an adult and you don't care at all anymore.
It's pretty annoying if it's excessively bad. But a word or two isn't so harmful. Something like "We need moar good grammar!" isn't overly nerve-wracking to me. In fact I talk like that sometimes, but I would never go so far as to not capitalize my I's on purpose or anything. I despise purposeful grammatical errors if it's an entire sentence and there's absolutely no reason for it.
Once in a while, the words I'm okay with are Moar, Leik, Hai and a few others... but that's about it. Otherwise it's most likely a complete failure in spell-checking skills if I've said something weird.

Meh. I don't really find it funny, and I can only tolerate it for a short time. If it lasts longer, I lose interest and ignore it. xP
Although when I am severely pissed off I may imitate the person that I am pissed off at, but not in text speak...or just in half-text speak x) example: "OMG I DONT CARE!!1111" that's an example of how I may imitate the people I'm angry at. owo
