So, there is this scene from some future novel floating around in my head. It's been there for about two weeks.

Setting: Late 1700s. not sure what country... thinking near Scotland
Characters: Think this will take place in the same world as ABbA. I want to stray as far away as possible from furry anything in my career, but I don't see why writing three or so books in the same world as ABbA would hurt. So, humanoid dogs... very humanoid.

There is this little girl around four years of age, who grows up to be the protagonist, and we see a memory/thought/whatever the fuck from like way ago in her past. She's increasingly upset and she's with her uncle/cousin/whoever and is learning that she is to live with him from now on. She is afraid of this man upon her first time meeting him. A combination of his awkward, angular features and the way he holds himself in anger frightens her. The lawyer tells the man to observe his newest burden. It is apparent these two are related. There was a tragedy and now the man is being told he is to care for this little girl. The uncle-cousin man gnashes his teeth together and hoists the little girl onto his lap.

The lawyer raises an eyebrow in encouragement, rolls a finger in the air and tells him to get a feel for the girl. Little girls are at least good enough to keep around for that. So, the man unzips his trousers and tugs on the girl's undergarment and forces himself into her three or four times. The girl is screaming. He then tosses her to the floor and says, "She will be good for something, at least, though a bit too vocal for my taste." The lawyer replies, "A small problem with an easy solution."

I guess it is my job to write about that solution.

Sounds like an interesting story. I can't wait to see how you write this out.
