Page Under Renovations
This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get Core Membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get Core Membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
UPDATE: Submissions are closed (I got a lot more entries than I thought I would), thanks for entering!
Hey everyone, quick announcement regarding Art Block and this current season.
Given that I've done a lot of character development-oriented videos, I've decided to change the planned video for August 4th and do something a little more fun...
Roasting your Characters!
But in all seriousness, I figure since the season's coming to an end, we could have a more "for fun" episode (rather than the mostly serious/educational stuff).
Basically what's going to happen is you guys will send in your characters, whether they be fan characters, sonas, or original characters and I'll roast them in a video. I may also provide some constructive criticism here and there but please know this isn't meant to be taken super seriously.
Basically all you guys need to do is leave a comment with a link to a picture of your OC. I'll mostly be running off of visual design, but if you guys want to include a short backstory then that would be a nice bonus.
If you aren't comfortable with having your character included in a video/being poked fun at, please do not submit a character!
Rules of Submission: 1) The character MUST be yours- no submitting other people's characters! 2) All images must be Safe For Work! 3) Multiple images are acceptable, but please limit it to 4 per character 4) Normal deviations please, I need to be able to fave them.
Everyone included will be credited in a journal with a link to the video, so keep an eye in your notifications for when the video comes out! The planned release date is August 4th 9:00 AM Eastern Time.
Submissions are due on Wednesday, July 18th at 12PM EST.
So I have some announcements regarding a certain convention coming up. This year I will be attending BronyCon from July 27th through the 29th!
I’m super excited to meet everyone who gets to come, however I do have some things I would like you guys to keep in mind when it comes to meeting me in the convention space.
I’ll break this down into two sections: When I’m “in suit” and when I’m “out of suit.”
Current WIP of the Suit:
In Suit: So some things to know about me when I am in suit. My suit made by Dexterous Zombie is a resin base head, which means it is made from a solid plastic-like material. I also have resin antlers and a ponytail which contains a battery pack in it for the built in fan. This means that if you bump me really hard or tackle me, there is a very good chance that I could get seriously hurt or that the resin could even break (if given a big enough impact).
This is a brand new suit, and I have been working and waiting for months to finally see it come to life. Please be cognisant that my senses are impaired while wearing this suit (more specifically eyesight and hearing), so I will not be able to see you if you’re coming from behind or one of my sides. The antlers I have are also a bit on the sharp side, so just be aware of that.
If you are wanting a hug or a picture, all you have to do is ask! I may have difficulty hearing you, however I will have a friend of mine with me who’ll be able to help me out if I’m not picking up on what you want.
Please do not boop my suit’s nose! I don’t have the best depth perception, and if you hit me hard enough then it’s very possible that I might get a black eye (or broken nose).
Please note that suits in general get very hot, and while I do have a fan to help with ventilation, please don’t be offended if I have to move on or go somewhere to take a break!
Out of Suit: So some things to note with me when I’m out of suit, the first and foremost thing to know is that I have a bit of trouble with eye contact. I’m in general a fairly awkward person, so if I don’t seem super focused or very talkative just know it’s not you- it’s a “me thing.” I may look to the side while we’re talking, this is partially because I’m remaining aware of my surroundings and I’ll usually listen better with one ear closer to whoever’s talking.
I would also appreciate that you introduce who you are when you come to meet me (both in and out of suit). If you go by a username/pen name, introduce yourself by that name so I can put a name to a face! If you’re someone I know online, this is especially important!
Lastly, if you’re wanting to take a picture with me in person, be sure to ask first! I don’t mind you taking pictures, but I would much rather you ask beforehand (mostly because I’m not the best smiler XP).
Some general things to know: If you see me walking back towards the hotel, please don’t follow me and my friend back! Odds are if we’re going back, we’re trying to take a break from the con space or need to take care of something. I’ll be keeping updated as to where I am on Twitter, so just keep an eye out there for when I update.
I may be trying to vlog the convention for a video, so if you see me talking to a camera then please wait until I’m done talking or have stopped recording.
Lastly, I need to address the most important thing: I will be cosplaying during the convention quite a bit, which means I should address the rules of cosplay and interactions. Long story short if you see me in or out of cosplay, be respectful. I’ve already mentioned some examples above, but for a general run down please keep your hands to yourself and don’t touch me until I’ve given you the okay. Tapping me on the shoulder is okay, but other than that I would appreciate you guys ask before any other forms of contact.
