Windago State Park Fire Department

Windago State Park is located is southern Magley County Near Wallen. Windago State Park covers over 15,500 acres of rolling hills, lakes, and is known for its beautiful vistas. The park has over 110 miles of Hiking, Horse, and Biking trails. The Park sees over 1.2 million visitors annually. Warren State Park Fire Department (Station 52)is a Combination Department made up of 10 full-time employees, 40 seasonal employees (March to October) and 20 volunteers who are full time employees within other departments of the Park. From March to October the Department staffs 14 firefighters on duty 24/7. During the off season the department is staffed with 3 personnel on station. Station 52 is home to Engine 521, Engine 522, Tanker 520, Brush 534, Brush 524, Crew 52, and Command 52. WSPFD provides Structural and wildland protection to all park properties in addition to BLS first responder coverage to the Park.  EMS coverage is provided by Magley County 

Engine 521: (1500gpm/500gal) This unit serves as the primary structural engine for the department. It responds 1st due to all MVC's,  Fire alarms, and Building fires. 

Engine 522: (750gpm/500gal) E522 responds as a secondary structural engine and is part of the wildland fire assignment. It also responds to assist county agencies on larger fire. 

Tanker 520: (100gpm/3000gal) This tanker responds to all fires within park. It also is part of county automatic aid assignments and routinely responds outside of the park. 

Brush 523/524: (300gpm/300gal) Brush 523, and 524 are identical units that serve as patrol and fast response vehicles within the park. These units respond to all calls within the park and are equipped with EMS supplies to the first responder level. Both unit can be called upon by county agencies, but usually 1 unit will stay on park property for coverage. 

Crew 52: This unit serves as a crew transport unit for larger incidents. it can carry 8 wildland firefighters and their equipment.

Command 52: This unit is assigned to the duty officer of the day. It oversees all operations within park and responds to major incidents.
