Waveland Twp. Fire Department is a combination department located in north central Magley County. Staffing for this station is compromised of a 2 man ambulance crew and 2 additional personnel for other vehicles. there are also 50 volunteers that supplement the paid crews. Station 40 is home to Engine 40, Ambulance 45, Ambulance 46, Tanker 44, Rescue 49, Engine 48, Grass 49, Battalion 40, Car 401, and HazMat 40.
Engine 40: 1500gpm/1000gal: This unit serves as the primary engine for the township. It is also equipped with a full set of extrication tools. It respond first out for most calls
Ambulance 45: This unit is the primary ALS ambulance for the township. It is staffed 24/7 with FF/EMTs and FF/Paramedics.
Ambulance 46: This unit serves as a reserve ambulance. It can also be used as a second out ambulance.
Tanker 44: 500gpm/3000gal: This truck serves primarily as a tanker for the township but can serve as a backup pumper if needed.
Rescue 49: This served as the primary rescue truck for the township before engine 40 was delivered. This truck now serves as a tactical support/special operations truck and sees limited service.
Engine 48: 1500gpm/1000gal: this truck serves as the second out pumper for the department.
Grass 47: 750gpm/500gal/100gal A: This former demo truck was purchased in 2006 and is the only red apparatus in the fleet.
Battalion 40: This unit rotates regularly through the command staff who serve as the on-call chief for major incidents.
Car 401: This unit is operated by the fire chief. It is also used for out of area training and transportation of crew members
Hazmat 40: This apparatus responds to all Hazardous Materials Incidents the entire county. A Hazmat response includes members who respond from various departments and entities throughout the county. However, since WTFD has more Hazmat techs than neighboring departments, it made sense to keep it at Station 40.
