South Epler Fire Rescue is a combination department operating out of 5 stations. SEFR protects 3 townships and 2 towns on the south side of Epler county. Station 41 is located on the southeast side of Epler county in the town of Pennville. Station 41 is staffed 24/7 with 6-8 personnel who are supplemented by 10 volunteers. Station 41 is home to Ladder 41, Engine 41, and Engine 40.
Ladder 41: (1500gpm/300gal) Ladder 21 is staffed 24/7 with a crew of 3-4. Ladder 41 responds to all alarms and fires on the eastern side of the district.
Engine 41: (1500gpm/780gal) Engine 41 is staffed 24/7 with a crew of 3-4, with at least one being a paramedic. Engine 41 responds 1st out to most calls from station 41. While not a rescue, Engine 41 carries some extrication equipment and a small compliment of hazmat tools.
