Description

Petersburgh Fire Department is an all volunteer fire department on the northeast side of Epler County. PFD protects over 22 square miles and a population of roughly 20,000 residents. The membership of PFD consists of over 100 members based out of two stations. Central station is manned by 45 combat firefighters and 15 reserve members. The reserve members of PFD operate in a support function. These members assist PFD with various tasks including rehab, scene support, fire-police operations, fire prevention and life safety education and various administrative roles. Central station is also home to 8 Live-in volunteers. These highly sought after positions allow for young members to have their own private living quarters at the station. This is offered as no charge to the member. In return the live-in member is required to provide staffing for the station for 36 hours a week.
