Ocean City Fire/Rescue Station 20

Ocean City Fire/Rescue Station 20 is located northeast side of the city. This station protects a largely rural area. This Station also covers 14 miles of highway split between 2 interstates. Staffed with 9 Firefighters and 2 paramedics, this station is home to Engine 20, Rescue 20, Tanker 20, Safety 20, and Rescue Medic 20. 

Engine 20: (1000gal/1500gpm) Staffed by 4 firefighters, this unit is the primary suppression unit from this station. This truck is equipped with a larger tank due to the limited number of hydrants in some areas.

Rescue 16: This rescue is staffed with 4 and is one of only 2 staffed heavy rescues in the city. While located in a rural area, this unit responds to more motor vehicle crashes than any other rescue in the city. 

Tanker 20: (2500gal/1250gpm) Cross staffed by Engine 20, this truck responds to all fires where hydrant access is limited. 

Safety 20: Staffed with one Captain, this unit responds to major calls and serves as the safety officer on incident scenes. 

Rescue Medic 20: While OCEMS is separate from OCFR, Rescue Medic units work hand in hand with OCFR rescue companies. Staffed with specialized Rescue Paramedics, these units carry additional specialty equipment to operate directly alongside OCFR crews on advanced rescue situations. These units also have their own first due for medical calls.
