Description
Ocean City Fire/Rescue Station 19 is located on the northeastern side of ocean city. This station protects a largely residential area in addition to Falcon Creek park, a city park that covers over 3,500 acres with 1,400 acres covered by water. Station 19 is staffed with 8 firefighters and 3 EMS personnel. Station 19 is home to Engine 19, Ladder 19, Brush 19, Medic 19, and EMS Lieutenant 5.
Engine 19: (1000gal/1500gpm) Staffed by 4 firefighters, this unit is the primary suppression unit from this station. This truck is equipped with a larger tank due to the limited number of hydrants in some areas.
Ladder 11: Staffed with 4, this tower ladder also carries equipment for low-angle rescues on trails within Falcon Creek Park.
Brush 19: (400gal/250gpm) Cross staffed by Ladder 19, this unit responds to vegetation fires and calls within Falcon Creek Park.
Medic 19: Staffed with 2 paramedics, this unit responds to EMS calls with Stations 19, 12, and 25.
EMS District 5: This unit serves as the EMS supervisor for the northeast side of the city.
