Ocean City EMS Headquarters

Ocean City EMS Headquarters is located on the northwest side of Ocean City. This building serves as the operations center for OCEMS. This building serves as the education center and repair shop for OCEMS. This building also an EMS station for multiple units. EMS headquarters serves as the station for Medic 27, Medic 97 (surge medic), Medic 98 (surge medic), Medic 99 (surge medic), ESU 1, EMS 51, EMS 52, Community Paramedic 1 and 2, OMD 1 (EMS physician), and MMC 1,

Medic 27: this ambulance serves as a traditional medic for the area around EMS HQ. 

Medic 97, 98, and 99: These ambulances are staffed from noon to midnight Thursday to Sunday. These units are not assigned to a specific district and patrol throughout the busiest parts of Ocean city. These ambulances also serve as special event medic when requested. 

ESU-1: This EMS heavy rescue is staffed with 3 rescue paramedics and responds throughout the city to major rescue calls. It can also fill in for OCFR rescue trucks as needed. 

EMS 51 and EMS 52: These units serve as non supervisor paramedic chase trucks. These units patrol busy areas of the city and assist crews and major calls. 

Community Paramedic 1 and 2: these units are in service for 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday and respond to lower acuity and mental health calls throughout the city.

OMD 1: OMD (on scene medical director) is a EMS physician fly car that responds to high acuity calls within the city. 

MCC 1: Mobile Medical Clinic 1 is a specialty designed unit that responds to large pre-planned events to serve as a field hospital. It has the capability to care for 8 patients at a time.
