Description

Station 392 is a "Tactical House" and is home to the department's Dive and Water Rescue Team. When a water rescue of any type occurs, this station responds with TSU 392 and a second apparatus. They are joined on scene by Station 391's team.

Engine 392:
E-392 entered services on August 28, 2016. It replaced a 1992 E-One that had been brought out of reserve status to run frontline for the previous 3 years.

TSU 392: TSU 392 serves a dual role for the department. This rig responds to all Water and Dive Rescue calls at Station 92. It also responds for lighting and air support throughout Oakdale and Warrick County. It is cross-manned by the Ladder crew at Station 92 where there are at least two Certified Rescue Divers assigned to each shift. When a call comes in, the divers jump in the back of this rig and get dressed in appropriate wet/dry suits on the way to the call. A third FF drives the rig while the remaining team members responded in the Ladder.

Ladder 392: F
or several years Ladder 92 responded as Oakdale's only Quint. It ran as a frontline Engine Company and also served as the first-due aerial apparatus to both Oakdale high schools. After A severe pump failure in 2006, OFD chose to rebuild the rear of the apparatus.  Ladder 392 now serves only as a Ladder Company and responds across the city's east side.
