Description

The City of Oakdale is located immediately northeast of Ocean City along I-284 in northeastern Warrick County. Founded in 1955, more than 140 career personnel now respond from 7 stations. OFD provides Fire, Tactical Rescue, Haz-Mat and ALS protection to more than 86,000 residents and 50 square miles including all of Oakdale and Adams and Milan Townships.

Tactical Engine 391:
The designation of "Tactical Engine" refers to Station 91's status as a Tactical Rescue house. Along with Station 92, the two stations respond to various tactical rescues including high angle, rope rescue, confined space/trench rescue and dive/top water rescues. When a response for "Tactical 90" is called in, both stations respond with all apparatus and appropriate personnel and equipment for these specialized, Tactical Rescues.

Ladder 391:
This apparatus entered service the evening of October 9, 2015. It replaced an 18 year old KME Tower and responds from Oakdale's central fire station. Ladder 391 is cross-manned by the Rescue crew and the most appropriate apparatus responds.

Tactical Rescue 391: Tac-391 responds with a crew of 4 to all fires, extrications and Tactical Rescue calls throughout Fishers. With it's full compliment of ground ladders in the rear compartment, it can even act as a Ladder Company on fire scenes as necessary.

Ambulance 391: This Rig previously served as Ambulance 93 before being re-assigned

OPS 391:
This large rig responds to Confined Space, Collapse and Trench Rescue incidents with a large amount of shoring, lumber and supports. As part of their "Tactical House" response, members of the Engine crew usually switch over to this apparatus when a CSR Tactical is toned out. This rig was reassigned from "Tactical 91" to "Ops 391" when Tactical rescue 391 was purchased.

Battalion 309: this truck used to run as the Chief of the departments vehicle.

Mobile Command Unit 309:
This apparatus previously served as Ambulance 92. It was custom modified in 2015 to include a custom command desk, white boards, computer and communication equipment to provide an on-scene central command for larger, longer incidents, regardless of weather.
