Description
North Chumash Fire District is located on the west side of Blaine County. BCFD protects portions of North Chumash, Raton Canyon, Cassidy Creek, mount Josiah, and Chiliad Mountian State Wilderness. MCFD is a combination department that consists of a 24/7 BLS ambulance crew and 35 volunteers. Paramedic coverage is carried by both Los Santos County Fire and Blaine County EMS depending on who is the closest unit to the scene. Station 5 is home to Engine 5, Engine 5-1, Tanker 5, Rescue 5, and Medic 5.
Engine 5: E-5 is first due for all calls within the town of North Chumash.
Engine 5-1: E-5-1 responds first due to all fire calls off-road. E-5-1 also responds to all brush fires and is first due to incidents on the beach front
Tanker 5: T-5 responds to all fire calls in the district. It also responds first due to any vehicle fire and responds to all mutual aid requests.
Rescue 5: R-5 responds to all rescue calls and responds as a medical assist truck.
Medic 5: M-5 responds as a bls ambulance to all of the district. ALS service is provided by Blaine County EMS and LSCoFD depending on who has the closest unit.
