Description
Station 29 is home to 3 front line apparatus, and a Battalion. This station covers a commercial, suburban and rural area, including SR-48, SR-45 and the Morgan County Airport. Station 29 is staffed by four fighters/EMTs and a Battalion Chief. Station 29 is home to Engine 29 Rescue 29, Squad 29, and Battalion 29.
Engine 29: (1500gpm/900gal/25gal A foam) E29 is first due for all fire calls at Station 25 and includes an EMS Cabinet in the cab. In addition to firefighting equipment, this apparatus is equipped with battery-powered extrication tools. With its location next to the airport, this rig is also equipped with a Compressed Air Foam System with 25 Gallons Class A Foam.
Rescue 29: (1250gpm/600gal/20gal Foam) R29 is first due for motor vehicle accidents. R29 carries a full set of hydraulic rescue tools, struts, water rescue/rope equipment, a 12kw generator and a winch. R29 has a very small wheelbase making it extremely maneuverable.
Squad 29: Squad 9 serves as a BLS quick-response vehicle with full BLS equipment a few hand tools and 2 SCBA’s.
Battalion 29: The Morgan Fire District is roughly split east/west by Interstate 67. Station 29 is home to Battalion 29.
