Morgan County Fire Protection District Station 21

Morgan County Fire Protection District Station is located immediately north of Ocean City. With A population of 90,000 people spread over nearly 400 square miles, this primarily suburban and rural county is protected by 1 Combination fire department. With 24 career firefighters on duty with volunteers supplementing each station, MCFPD provides Fire, BLS Non-transport, Water and technical rescue protection to all of the county. 

Station 21 is located on the south of the county. Station 21 covers a mixed of rural to suburban and small commercial. It also covers sections of IN State Rd 37, State Road 446, Morgan Lake and areas of Ansley State Forest. Station 21 is staffed by 4 firefighters and supplemented by 10 volunteers. Station 21 is home to Engine 21, Rescue 21, Ladder 21, Brush 21, Squad 21, and Marine 21. 



Engine 21 (1000gpm/1500gal) E21 is first-due for all fire incidents and is identical to its twin E22. In addition to firefighting equipment, this rig is equipped with a 10kw hydraulic generator and a full set of extrication tools.

Rescue 21: Rescue 21 responds first-due to all accident and extrication calls. It will also respond as needed for any specialty rescue. R21 carries two full sets of extrication tools out of the back compartment. 

Ladder 21: (1250gpm/500gal) Ladder 21 responds to commercial alarms, specific addresses, specialty rescue incidents. It serves as the Ladder Company across the district's south side.

Brush 21: (300gpm/350gal) B21 is first due for all brush and wildland calls

Squad 21: This apparatus responds first-due for medical calls from the southside station. Sq21 also responds on calls with Rescue 21 as it can only seat two.

Marine 21 (750gpm/0gal) M21 is first due for water incidents on Morgan Lake. M21 has the ability to draft and pump water for boat fires, and structure fires along the lake.
