Description
Milford Volunteer Fire Department is an all volunteer fire department that protects approximately 40 square mile and roughly 5,000 residents. MVFD is made up of 30 volunteer members. EMS coverage is provided by Epler County EMS. MVFD is home to Engine 6, Engine 6-2, Rescue 6, Tanker 6, Squad 6, and ECEMS Medic 6.
Engine 6: (1500gpm/750gal) Engine 6 responds first out to all fire and rescue calls. It has the seating for 5 personnel.
Engine 6-2: (2000gpm/750gal) This reserve engine used to run as the primary engine until the arrival of Engine 6. It responds as the third unit for all structure fires. It has seating for 6.
Rescue 6: Rescue 6 responds second out to all rescue calls and 4th out for fires from MVFD. It is equipped with 2 sets of extrication tools and a 4 bottle cascade system. R6 has seating for 5
Brush 6: (300gpm/300gal) Brush 6 responds first out to all brush fires. It has seating for 2
Squad 6: Squad 6 responds as the first out truck for medical calls. It also serves as a command vehicle and manpower transport.
ECEMS Medic 6: Medic 6 is staffed with a paramedic 24/7. It responds 1st out to all EMS calls on the southeast side of the county.
