Homecroft Fire Department Station 2 is located on the northeastern side of Homecroft. Station 2 protects a largely residential and commercial area in addition to over 8 miles of interstate and highway. Staffed with 12 personnel, Station 2 remains one of the busiest fire stations in Epler county. Station 2 is home to Engine 12, Medic 12, Rescue 12, EDO 10, and Boat 12.
Engine 12: (750gal/1500gpm) Staffed with 4 personnel, EG12 responds first out to all fire calls from station 2. With its close proximity to Centralia, EG12 regularly responds out of district.
Medic 12: This paramedic ambulance is routinely the busiest ambulance in Epler county. It is staffed with 2 paramedic and protects all of station 2s area and most of station 3's district.
Rescue 12: Rescue 5 is staffed 24/7 with 5 personnel. Rescue 5 responded to all vehicle crashes, structure fires, technical rescue calls, water/dive rescues, and hazmat incidents in Homecroft. It is equipped with 2 full sets of extrication tools, confined space rescue equipment, dive and swift water rescue gear and trench shoring supplies.
EMS Duty Officer 10: EDO 10 serves as the EMS supervisor for HFD. This unit responds to any major EMS in Homecroft. It also responds as an incident commander in multiple incidents are operating.
Boat 10 (ex SAF10): Boat 10 is cross staffed by Rescue 12. It responds to all water rescue calls within Homecroft. It is also commonly called upon by neighboring departments.
