Located on the western side of the district, Hamilton Fire/Rescue Station 9 serves a largely rural and industrial area. Staffed 24/7 with 8 personnel. Station 8 also serves and the Battalion office for Stations 5, 9, and 11. Station 9 is home to Engine 9, Rescue 9, Tanker 9, Ambulance 9, ALS 9, and Battalion 9.
Engine 9: (1500gpm/1000gal/20gal Foam) Staffed with 4 personnel, Engine 9 responds first out to most calls from station 9.
Rescue 9: Cross staffed by Engine 9, Rescue 9 responds to major vehicle accidents and technical rescues on the west side.
Tanker 9: Tanker 6: (1000gpm/2600gal) Tanker 9 responds second to all structure fires from station 9. It is cross staffed by Engine 9.
Ambulance 9: Staffed to the BLS level 24/7. This large ambulance is equipped with a small set of cribbing and an extrication combi-tool to handle minor extrication calls.
ALS 9: Staffed with one senior paramedic 24/7. This unit serves as an ALS chase unit to assist BLS ambulances. ALS 9 responds as an additional medic to major/advanced EMS calls.
Battalion 9: Battalion 9 serves as the command unit for the western side of the district. Battalion 9 is the supervisor for station 5, 9, and 11.
