Description
Located in the central portion of the district, Hamilton Fire/Rescue Station 7 serves a largely residential area with some industrial and rural portions in the first due. With a daily staffing who are supplemented by 15 volunteers, Station 7 is one of the largest stations and is home to Rescue Engine 7, Ladder 7, Tanker 7, Medic 7, Brush 7, and Battalion Chief 7.
Rescue Engine 7: (1500gpm/500gal) Rescue Engine 7 is first out on all vehicle accidents and small nuisance fires. Engine 7 is third out to all structure fires.
Ladder 7: (1750gpm/300gal) Ladder 7 responds first out to all fire alarms and structure fires in hydrated areas. Ladder 7 is second out to all fires in un-hydrated areas.
Tanker 7: (1500gpm/2500gal) Tanker 7 responds to all fires from station 7. It responds first out to fires in rural areas and second to all other fires. While this unit is considered a tanker, it is fully equipped to operate as a standard engine company.
Medic 7: Medic 7 is staffed 24/7 to the paramedic level. It responds first out to all EMS calls.
Brush 7: (300gpm/400gal) Brush 7 responds first out to all brush and vegetation fires, it can also respond as a manpower transport/EMS assist unit.
Battalion Chief 7: BC7 serves as the battalion chief for stations 3, 6, 7, and 10. It responds to all major incidents in the central portion of the district.
