Description
Located in the far northwestern corner of the district in the small town of Ripley, Hamilton Fire/Rescue Station 5 is a combination station that protects the town of Ripley and the surrounding rural area. With 2 staff on duty 24/7 for ambulance coverage, 15 Volunteer firefighters provide staffing for fire apparatus when needed. Station 5 is home to Rescue Engine 5, Tanker 5, Brush 5, Ambulance 5, and Squad 5.
Rescue Engine 5: (1500gpm/1000gal) Engine 5 responds first out to vehicle accidents and second out to all fire calls. RE5 is equipped with a full set of extrication equipment in addition to traditional Engine equipment
Tanker 5: (1500gpm/2500gal) Tanker 5 responds first out to all fire calls from station 5. It serves dual purpose from station 5 as an engine and tanker for fire incidents.
Brush 5: (125gpm/250gal) Brush 5 responds 1st out to all vegetation fires and responds third out to other incidents.
Ambulance 5: Ambulance 5 provides BLS coverage 24/7 to the northwestern portion of the district.
Squad 5: This unit serves as a manpower transport and EMS first responder unit to assist the ambulance when needed.
