Description
Located in the far northern portion of the district, Hamilton Fire/Rescue Station 3 protects a mainly rural area with a rapidly growing residential and industrial area. Staffed with 4 personnel 24/7 and supplemented with 10 volunteers, Station 3 operates as a "jump company" house. The on duty crew responds with the most appropriate unit(s). Station 3 is home to Engine 3, Tanker 3, Rescue 3, Brush 3, and Medic 3.
Engine 3: (1250gpm/1000gal) Engine responds first out to most fire calls from station 3. When responding to a structure fire, all 4 on duty personnel respond with EG04, on other calls it is usually staffed with 2.
Tanker 3: (1250gpm/2500gal) Tanker 3 responds as a tanker and second out pumper. Tanker 3 also responded 1st out to all large vehicle fires. It also responds 2nd out to all vehicle crashes behind the rescue and medic.
Rescue 3: Rescue 3 responds throughout the northern portion of the district to all major crashes and fires. With seating for 6 and 105 feet of ground ladders, R-3 also serves as a ladder company in addition to the standard rescue company tasks.
Brush 3: (250gpm/250gal) Brush 3 responds to all vegetation fires from station 3.
Medic 3: This ambulance is staffed to the paramedic level 24/7. When all 4 personnel are on another apparatus, the next closest ambulance will respond or the unit is staffed by volunteers.
