Everett Fire Department Station 81 is Located in downtown Everett. EFD is a combination department staffed 24/7 with 6 personnel split between 2 stations and supplemented by volunteers. EFD provides, Fire, Rescue and BLS protection to 5,100 residents within all of Wayne Township and the eastern half of Wilmot Township. Station 81 is home to Engine 81, Tanker 82, Engine 83, Ladder 84, Brush 85, Heavy Rescue 86, and Squad 81.
Engine 81: (1250gpm/750gal) This engine served as the first out engine for EFD until 2013. It now serves in a second out/reserve engine
Tanker 82: (750gpm/2200gal) Tanker 82 responds as the primary tanker for EFD. It is usually staffed by volunteers if needed.
Engine 83: (1250gpm/750gal) Engine 83 responds as the first out engine from station 81.
Ladder 84: (2000gpm/250gal) Ladder 84 is cross staffed by the crew of engine 83. it responds 1st out on all commercial fire alarms and non residential building fires within town.
Brush 85: (250gpm/500gal) Brush 85 responds to all field and trash fires from station 81
Rescue 86: R-86 carries a full compliment of Hurst extrication tools with mounted pump and reels in the rear compartment. This truck also includes a 2-bottle cascade system and coffin compartments for rope rescue gear on the roof.
Squad 81: this unit responds first out to all medical assist calls.
