Description
Epler County EMS Headquarters is located in central Epler County adjacent to Epler Regional Medical Center. This large base serves as the home for ECEMS' transport, specialty care, education, fleet services, communications and administration divisions. Staffed with 19 operations personnel in addition to 4 administrators, 6 communications specialists, and a fleet maintenance specialist. ECEMS HQ is home to Medic 9, Medic 93, Ambulance 84, Ambulance 85, Medic 91 (CCT) , Medic 92 (CCT), Medic 95 (Mobile Stroke Unit), Ambulance 88 (Bariatric), Medic 94, Medic 53, Medic 54, Medic 99, Medic 100, Car 501, Car 502, Car 503, Car 504, MD1, 2 pool cars, and the fleet maintenance truck.
Medic 9: This ALS unit is the only 911 ambulance to respond from HQ. It covers the northern portion of Millersburg and also backs up Homecroft FD as needed. It is staffed 24/7.
Medic 93: This ALS unit serves as the primary ALS transfer unit for ECEMS. This unit has the capability to transport patients requiring cardiac monitoring, some medication infusions, and some ventilator dependent patients. Its primary responsibility is transfers to and from outlying facilities, It is staffed 24/7.
Ambulance 84 & 85: These BLS ambulance are responsible for all ambulance transports by ECEMS. These units specialize in hospital discharges, transfers to and from outlying facilities, and non emergent transports to rehab facilities and skilled nursing facilities.
Medic 91 & 92: These units are the workhorses of the specialty care divisions. Staffed with 1 EMT, 1 Critical Care Paramedic, and 1 Registered Nurse, these critical care transport units are responsible for all advanced transfers. These units transport patients from smaller community hospitals to tertiary care centers. Both units are capable of transporting Stroke and STEMI patients, advanced trauma patients, PTs on ventilators and multiple medication infusions. Both units are staffed 24/7.
Medic 95: This unit was specialty built to serve as a mobile stroke unit. This ambulance on responds to 911 stroke calls. With a mobile CT scanner on board, it the ability to complete a CT scan on scene of stroke patient and can administer clot busting medications prior to even arriving at the hospital. This unit is staffed with an EMT, a Critical Care Paramedic, and a CT technologist. A neurologist has the capability to assess the PT via video.
Ambulance 88: this unit serves as the bariatric ambulance for all of Epler county. When needed for a call, a BLS unit will bring it to the scene where the 911 crew will continue care in AM88. Equipped with a winch and foldable ramps, AM88 has the Capability to transport patient in excess of 800lbs.
Medic 94, 53, & 54: these three units serves as reserve units. They are stock with minimal supplies for crews to minimize equipment needing transferred.
Medic 99: Known as "The 99" this unit serves the 911 division as a special response unit. Medic 99 is staffed with an Advanced Care Paramedic who is specially trained to provide additional interventions not found on a 911 ambulance. This unit is equipped with Blood products (O+ low titer whole blood), a mechanical ventilator, additional specialty medications and protocols. Medic 99 responds to all high acuity calls such as cardiac arrests, major traumas, and working technical rescues. Medic 99 is also attached to any SWAT callout as an adjunct to the SWAT medic.
Medic 100: This unit serves as the western supervisor for the 911 division. They are responsible for Medics 5, 6, 9, 93, and 33.
501-504: These units are issused to the administrative staff.

-Medical Director 1: MD1 is issued to ECEMS' medical director.
Pool cars: These units serve as back up vehicles for command staff. They can also be used to transport crews as needed.
Fleet services: this unit is used by the department mechanic. It is equipped with tools to perform repairs in the field.
