Description
Dartown Fire Department Station 6 is location on the far northern portion of Dartown. Station 6 protects a largely commercial area that includes some high-rise buildings and a significant portion of interstate. Station is staffed daily with 8 personnel. Station 6 is home to Engine 6, Ladder, 6, and Tanker 6.
Engine 6: (1750gpm/500gal) Staffed with 4 personnel, Engine 4 serves as a standard Engine company. Due to the lack of ambulance at this station, EG06 is staffed as a paramedic engine company to provide rapid ALS care.
Ladder 6: Ladder 6 serves as a light extrication company due to its interstate coverage in addition to standard ladder company.
Tanker 6: (1000gpm/3000gal) Staffed by Engine 6 when needed, Tanker 6 serves as the north side tanker. While all of station 6's area has hydrants, Station 6 is strategically located to provide quick access to fires on the interstate.
