Dartown Fire Department Station 31

Dartown Fire Department Station 31 is located on the near northside. Station 31 is home to the Northside Hazardous Materials Decon Team. Station 31 is one of the largest stations at DFD with a daily staffing of 11 personnel. All personnel and apparatus at Station 31 are trained and equipped for Hazardous Materials response. Station 31 is home to Engine 31, Ladder 31, Air 31, Decon 31, and Medic 31. Station 31 is part of the 2nd Battalion.

Engine 31: (1500gpm/500gal) Engine 31 is staffed with 4 personnel and serves as a standard engine company and responds as part of the Decon team.

Ladder 31: Staffed with 4, this busy ladder company covers a large area for structure fires. It is staffed with 4. When a hazmat run occurs, all of ladder 31 will respond on Decon 31.

Air 31: Staffed with 1 firefighter, Air 31 responds to all working fires and hazmat incidents. The firefighter assigned to Air 31 is also a certified SCBA technicians and are responsible for all SCBA repairs. Air 31 is equipped with a 3 bottle fill station and over 80 SCBA bottles. It also is equipped with an air cart for special operations calls.

Medic 31: This paramedic ambulance covers a very large 1st due area north of downtown.
