Dartown Fire Department Station 1

Dartown Fire Department Station 1 is located just west downtown Dartown. Station one protects a largely residential area that includes some light industry. Station 1 is staffed daily with 10 personnel. Station 1 is home to Engine 1, Ambulance 1, Ladder 1, and TRT 1. Station 1 is the part of DFDs Technical rescue team. Station 1 is part of the 7th battalion.

Engine 1 (2000gpm/750gal): Engine 1 responds to most calls from station 1. While equipped for standard engine company functions, E1 responds as part of the technical rescue team as manpower.

Ambulance 1: This BLS ambulance is staffed daily with 2 EMTs and the is the Primary ambulance for Station one.

Ladder 1 (0gpm/0gal): Ladder 1 is the primary aerial company for the near west side of Dartown. In additional to standard ladder company functions, LD1 cross staffs TRT1. When a TRT call comes in, 2 members will respond in TRT 1 while the others respond in LD 1. LD 1 is equipped with some technical rescue tools, the majority of equipment is on TRT 1.

TRT 1: TRT1 is the primary piece for DFDs technical rescue team. This unit is cross staffed by ladder 1 when needed. TRT1 responds to all technical rescue calls in Dartown including trench and structural collapses, confined space rescues, rope rescues and etc. TRT 1 carries the bulk of equipment mainly for trench and structural collapses, but carries equipment for all disciplines. the rear of TRT one carries a large amount of lumber and wood panels for for shoring operations. This unit is affectionately know as the mobile lumber yard by its crews.
