Robot Romance - Speed Machine Sketches

By Spikings
Wanted to upload these for the hell of it. I never did silhouettes before I started this course, but I've found they're an amazing help when designing an effective something or another. Anyone wanting to get into games design, I recommend you try it out, as it works wonders if you stick with it. :)
Thought these might be interesting to look at for anyone who is interested. Otherwise, I shall be getting back to sketches I'd rather not be doing at the moment. :noes: Cya!

Thank you :aww: heyyy, sounds like a good idea to me :D I'm not sure how much free time I'll have to do it, but whenever we're all on skype I'll totally give it a go. ^_^

Forget being friends, can you just straight up teach me- oh yeah you dont have any time

Hehe, would be fun :XD: I suck at teaching though. All I can say is always reference, always practice. ;P

Okay sensei san. Im learning how to draw cars and vehicles in general, i suuuuuuck at them, sooho bad. What are you still working on bettering art wise

I tend to try and go for the most difficult things when I have a choice. I'm trying to get better at mechanics and vehicles, although I'm not amazing at environments either, so a chance to practice any of those is great. I've got a class in the morning tomorrow which is always good for these sort of things, so I can't wait. :XD: It's cool you're trying to improve on your weaknesses, it's what makes you a better artist in the long run. :D

Why is it always good for those things? The early class i mean? Oh is the class on environments and depicting them or mech and vehicles? That is cool then. It really does make a better anything when you revisit your weaknesses

The wednesday classes are mostly to help improve general technical drawing in many things, introducing us to common exercises that artists use in the gaming industry to come up with landscapes, characters, etc. For example, we've been doing silouhettes which has helped no end, one-point perspective and rendering exercises on Photoshop. :)

i was just attempting to use photoshop on my sonic drawing! Yeah i dont know why i thought that was wierd. anyway im glad its helping, hopefully i shall see the fruits in your next piece

Nice going, the more you experiment the better! :aww: Hopefully so, but it'll be a while until I upload a new piece. The work I've got at the moment isn't really for uploading and I'm off home at the weekend. Plus it's my b-day tomorrow so it's all different for the next week :XD:
