Plague doctor mask by Spiked-Fox Plague doctor mask by Spiked-Fox
A leather mask I made for my plague doctor costume on Halloween :) It looked super creepy with the full costume!

I carved the shape using NSP on a face base (if you don't know what NSP is, it's a type of oil-based clay that softens with heat and won't air-dry, thus making it reusable indefinitely. It's super useful. I suggest you look it up!)
Then I covered the sculpture with white duct tape, which I marked and cut unto pieces to use as a pattern.

It's made with 3-4oz veg-tanned leather, dyed with bison brown waterstain, assembled with jute twine and steel rivets, and finished with acrylic varnish on the outside, carnauba cream on the inside (keeping it soft and hydrated)
It attaches on the back with fully adjustable straps.
It's made to be super durable and dirt-resistant (it's not watherproof tho, but it will withstand accidental splashes and light rain if wiped off without too much delay), making it great for LARPing.

This one is not for sale, but I plan on making a few more with the same pattern, so keep an eye on my Etsy shop (or my dA page, I'll post them all here too)!
