Eddie Brock/Venom as portrayed by Tom Hardy

Here is how I envision Eddie Brock's Origin for the Venom movie

- Early Life
Born into a broken family, Eddie Brock's Mother Jamie Passed away in Childbirth resulting in his father Carl blaming Eddie for it however his father put on a front  to hide this from Eddie as he knew His Wife would want him to Raise Eddie and his Older Sister Mary as best as possible, Early on however Eddie was able to see through the front his Father put up and knew he blamed Eddie for his Mother's death However Mary was a little more forgiving and helped raise her brother since their mother passed away. When he went to College he initially Majored in Athletics but after the Monica Lewinsky Scandal Broke he switched his Major to Journalism and got an internship at the Daily Globe.

- Career Downfall
Before his life spiraled out of control, Eddie Brock was a Highly Respected Journalist and a Fan of Spider-Man, He also loved his Wife Ann Weying with all of his heart He and his Father were on shaky-but-good terms as he respected Eddie's Accomplishments. Unfortunately his life  would start taking a turn for the worse when he becomes Violent on several Occasions, Worried about this change in his personality he seeks medical aid only to be diagnosed with an Aggressive form of Lung Cancer that has metastasized to his adrenal glands which as a result is causing his them to secrete excess adrenaline at random moments, He is also revealed to have several months to live, When Ann Heard the news she was heartbroken and wanted to distance herself from Eddie so as to not become a victim of one of his cancer induced outbursts, To take his mind off of the stress at home he buried himself in his work and started purchasing workout equipment so that he can relieve some of his stress, then what he thought was his big break came along as a man named Emil Gregg called the Daily Globe claiming to be the Sin-Eater, At first Eddie invoked the 5th to protect the identity of Emil, however he gave into pressure and revealed his source, This story launched him into celebrity Status for a while and assured Eddie that he would be remembered after his Cancer Kills him. Unfortunately for him Spider-Man caught the real Sin Eater who was identified as Stanley Carter and Emil Gregg was revealed to be nothing more than his neighbor who was heard everything Stan did through his wall and was convinced the voices on the other side of the wall were in his head. This was the final Straw for Eddie, He was fired from the Globe, Blacklisted from any respectable Newspapers, Disowned by his Father and was heading down a path of Divorce with his wife. His life seemingly going down the shitter he blamed Spider-Man for his downward spiral and contemplated suicide to escape the pain but since he was raised Catholic even considering it was deemed a mortal sin and so he went to Our Lady of Saints to pray to God for forgiveness, While he was praying he was discovered by a Black Ooze that felt and his hatred for Spider-Man they joined together to become Venom.

Fun Fact: Eddie was actually shown smoking in a flashback panel of ASM #300 which may be the cause of his cancer.

Major update as of 7/21/17 at 4:46AM: Changed the actor to Tom Hardy and added a theoretical story of how Eddie's life played out up to the point at which he became Venom.

A nice nod, if I do say so myself. Also, I may or may not be working on a Earth-646 Eddie Brock/Venom spinoff. Granted, Mac Gargan and Flash Thompson are the only living hosts for the Venom Symbiote on Earth-646, since Symbiote Spider-Man sacrificed his life to save Ultimate Animated Spidey out of an exploding cage.

It could be the Venom Symbiote that's actually native to Earth-646.

Maybe. Either way, here's to hoping I have enough time to work on that Venom spinoff.

To each their own, I just like the way the unmasked form looked in the movie.

The unmasked looked 50/50 on my part, but to each their own.

Well, to me it kinda looks like an improved version of the Spiderman 3 venom costume. The eyes sorta look the same. also VENOM IS BIG THIS TIME! Not skinny and puny like in Spiderman 3
